RC Family Of Companies

RC Family of Companies has been serving parts of northeastern South Dakota for over 50 years. Since then, our promise to our customers is to provide the best telecommunication services at the lowest possible cost, while giving them the service they deserve.

Our parent company, Roberts County Telephone Cooperative Association, was only the beginning of our family of companies. The cooperative began its roots in 1907 and has been growing and changing with the times ever since. RCTCA is owned by our customers in the New Effington and Claire City areas and is governed by a board of directors elected at our Annual Meeting for cooperative members each year. In 1996, the company acquired another telephone company and called the wholly owned subsidiary RC Communications. RCC serves the Wilmot, Summit, Peever, and Veblen exchanges.

RC Technologies was also started in 1996, when the company began offering local dial up Internet services to our local exchanges. Since then, RCT has added areas outside our base calling area. The company has expanded its service offerings to DSL, Wireless Internet and Fiber to the Home services in select areas. In June of 2003, RC Technologies created a new Cable TV division called RCTv to serve the New Effington, Veblen, Wilmot and Summit exchanges. In 2005 the addition of approximately 700 customers happened when RC Technologies assumed control of BRS spectrum and two wireless cable towers, one in Kranzburg, SD and one in Sisseton, SD. RC Technologies is committed to providing quality services in our rural communities.

RC Family of Companies prides itself for being one of northeastern South Dakota's telecommunication experts. We've been here for the customers in the past, are here for the present, and will remain for the future.
